The Rotaract Club of Whitehorse was chartered on May 10, 2000, and has been a fixture of the Whitehorse community ever since. The club is heavily involved in many different events, activities, and fundraising programs within the City of Whitehorse and beyond.
Rotaract is a shortened version of ‘Rotary in Action’, which is the basis on which all Rotaract clubs operate. We participate in many local events and successfully run our own fundraising campaigns as well. Our club is best known for our renowned annual ‘Giant Monopoly’ event, which is exactly what it sounds like. This event regularly sells out and our 2026 iteration raised $8500 for Backpacks 4 Vic Kids.
The club is also involved with the Whitehorse Farmer’s Market, which is operated by a collection of 6 clubs in the local area, who share all profits evenly and distribute the money raised to causes in our local community. Most recently, our club has made a $7000 contribution to the installation of solar panel and battery systems at Alkira Disability Accommodation homes. This contribution would not have been possible without our continued commitment to the Farmer’s Market.
Our club currently has 25 members, with over half being highly active within the club. We are always happy to see new faces come along and join in, and we would love to see you there.
